For your convenience, we have a on-site Pathology collection centre at our practice. This means you can save time by not having to travel elsewhere for pathology tests.

All pathology request forms can be accepted. Patients using this service do not need to be patients of Parkes Street General Practice. No appointment necessary for blood collection.
Tenant Doctors

Dr Martin Gellatley
Dr Gellatley is the founding member of this practice, which began in 1982. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1978 and has a wealth of experience in primary health care and emergency medicines.

Dr Meng Chen
Dr Chen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1986 and obtained a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 1994. He continues to work in both general practice and in accident and emergency and has a keen interest in musculo-skeletal medicine and sports medicine.

Dr Cindy Htet
Dr Htet graduated with an M B B S in 2005 and has wealth of experience in family medicine, both in Australia and Overseas. She received a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner in 2015 and has a keen interest in skin cancer, women's health and cosmetic procedures and has achieved post graduate qualifications in these areas.

Dr Sally Mon
Dr Mon has variety of experiences in both emergency and general practice setting. She is a fellow of RACGP. She also has completed Sydney Child Health Programme. She is particularly interested in women's and children's health.

Dr Vladimir Koleda
Dr Koleda has been running a private practice in Smithfield for more than 40 years and served that local community for 50 years. In addition, he has spent 30 years providing after hours and emergency support for the Sydney Medical Service as well as being the primary General Practitioner for multiple nursing homes.
In addition to 50 years General Practice experience, Dr Koleda brings with him experience in obstetrics & gynaecology and importantly a smile and a dry joke or two to help make the experience of going to see the doctor a little more comfortable.
Dr Koleda will help expand access to medical services to the local Helensburgh community by making himself available for consultations on Friday, Saturday and for the first time on Sunday.

Dr Xavier Xhian Meng Quah
Born and raised in Sydney, Dr Xavier graduated from Sydney Medical School and worked in many different fields of medicine before settling down in General Practice.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and a Masters of Medicine (MMed).
Dr Xavier is passionate about public health, and volunteered overseas to Timor-Leste in 2020 as part of a DFAT sponsored COVID-19 response program.
In his spare time, he enjoys leathercraft, snowsports, and software engineering.

Dr Matthew Lam
With valuable experience from St George Hospital and The Sutherland Hospitall, as well as south Wollongong, Matthew is skilled in managing both acute illnesses and chronic health conditions. He’s particularly attentive in diagnosing and initiating treatment for newly identified chronic diseases.
Trained in performing simple procedures offered in a GP clinic setting, Matthew welcomes patients of all demographics, and is eager to contribute to the ongoing care of the people of Helensburgh.

Dietitian Ashleigh Keep
Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with over ten years experience in clinical dietetics. Ashleigh works with her clients to provide nutrition interventions specific to their needs in the context of treatment and personal goals. Her wide range of experience includes (but is not limited to):

Podiatrist Peter Simson
Peter Simson has been practicing as a Podiatrist for over 25 years working in both the public and private sectors. He is happy to announce he will be joining the team at Parkes St General Practice.
Peter offers treatment for a range of conditions such as corns, calluses and nail problems as well as diabetic and biomechanical assessments for conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
If you have a problem with your feet Peter would be happy to help you with it.

Physiotherapist Amy Pappas
​Amy has over 10 years experience working as a physiotherapist. She began her career working in acute hospitals across intensive care, trauma, rehabilitation and orthopaedic wards. After the birth of her twins 6 years ago she moved into the women’s health space specialising in education, physiotherapy and pilates for pregnant and post natal women. She has experience working with peri and post menopausal women with joint pain, osteoporosis and/or pelvic floor concerns. Amy also enjoys treating musculoskeletal injuries such as neck and lower back pain and helping patients with their rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery. She combines a comprehensive assessment with manual therapy, dry needling, taping, education and an individualised home exercise program for each patient. Amy is also offering exercise screening assessments and advice for patients attending reformer pilates, gym classes or running groups in our community.

With 15 years of experience in musculoskeletal, neurological, sports-related injuries and pediatric physiotherapy, I am dedicated to optimizing patient outcomes.
